Description
Small circular brown patches that are 2.5 to 15 cms (2 - 6"). The leaf blades appear bleached.
If you look closely at the leaf blades, you will see lesions that are light tan coloured in the middle with reddish-brown borders. These lesions grow until they girdle the leaf blade, killing the entire blade.
Inspection early morning when the dew is still on the lawn will generally reveal tiny white mycelium (look like cobwebs)
