A – Prior to your core aeration we recommend you mark your irrigation heads with small flags or something that can identify where the irrigation heads are. The irrigation pipe is buried deep enough so it doesn’t need to be marked.
Q - How long do the cores remain on the lawn?
A – A number of factors including rain and mowing your lawn can influence the amount of time that the cores remain on the lawn. As a rule of thumb, the cores are generally gone in about a week or two.

A – The length of time it takes for the holes to fill back in generally takes about a week or two.
Q - Can I mow my lawn after a core aeration?
A – Yes, you can mow your lawn after an aeration. The mower will actually help break up the cores and incorporate them back into the soil profile.
Q - What are the benefits of a core aeration?
A – There are many benefits to core aeration, these include:
- Relieves soil compaction
- Physically removes undesirable thatch layer
- Stimulates root growth and allows for deeper root growth
- Allows for increased air, water, and nutrient movement into the soil
- Incorporating cores back into the soil profile will decompose, and add microbial activity (microbial activity decomposes thatch and fights of disease causing pathogens)
Q - How deep do the aerator tines go?
A – The aeration tines penetrate the soil about 4 inches deep.
Fertilizer
Q - Do I need to water in the granular fertilizer that was applied to my lawn?
- A – It is not necessary to water in the granular fertilizer we applied to your lawn. The fertilizer is specially designed not to burn your lawn and will not harm the turf if it is not watered in.
Q - How far apart are the fertilizer applications?
A – The fertilizer applications are generally about 4 to 6 weeks apart depending on the time of year. Our fertilizers are specially designed to evenly feed your lawn between applications.
Q - Can I mow my lawn after a fertilizer application?
A - We recommend you follow the watering instructions on your invoice and water before you mow.
Q – Why does it only take the technicians a few minutes to fertilize the entire lawn?
A – Our technicians use special industrial spreaders that carry large amounts of fertilizer and are designed to distribute the fertilizer evenly over 10 feet wide with each pass.

A – Organics Plus Topdressing is a premium blend of organic material specially designed for your lawn.
Q - How is the product applied?
A – The application process depending on the size and characteristics of your property. It is generally applied with a specially designed machine that evenly distributes it to all parts of the lawn.

Turf Revitalizer
Q - What is a Turf Revitalizer?
A – A Turf Revitalizer is a specially designed machine used for renovation type seedings to repair bare and damaged areas in your lawn. This machine cuts vertical slits into the soil and places the seed into the soil at the same time. This ensures perfect seed to soil contact for optimal seed germination.
Q - When should I have this service done?
A – The ideal time to have this service completed is during the spring or fall when the temperatures are optimal for seed germination and moisture is most prevalent.
Q - What are the benefits of a Turf Revitalizer?
The benefits include:
- Excellent renovation practice used to thicken lawns and repair lawns that are bare and damaged
- Slices rows in the soil and drops seed into the slits
- Provides excellent seed-to-soil contact
- Removes undesirable thatch in the process
Q - How deep are the seeds planted?
A – The seeds are planted about ¼” – ½” deep into the soil.
Q - How often should I water the newly planted seeds?
A – Newly planted seeds should be watered daily ensuring that the seeds never dry out. Always refer to the watering directions left on the job invoice.
Q – Can we walk over the newly seeded areas?
A – It is recommended to stay off newly seeded areas until the seed begins to germinate and establishes itself. Depending on the seed variety germination will take anywhere from one to three weeks for germination to take place. Refer to invoice instructions.
Overseeding
Q - Will overseeding fill in the large bare and damaged areas?
A – It is possible to repair large bare and damaged areas with overseeding. It often takes up to a year to fill in to the point of being usable turf. For those wanting faster results, sodding is often a better choice.
Q - How often do I need to have my lawn Overseeded?
A – We recommend that Overseeding is done each year either in the spring or the fall.
Q - What kind of grass seeds do you use?
A – We use a number of different grass varieties that suit the conditions of your lawn. All our seed is certified and of the highest quality.
Q – What are the benefits of Overseeding?
A – The benefits include:
- Helps to thicken lawn and fill in thin weak areas
