Local Lawn Care Achieves International 'Ecology Award'
December 1, 2004: The Greater Victoria Area Franchise of Nutri-Lawn
Ecology Friendly Lawn Care took home the international Ecology Award
for a second time at the 2004 Annual Meeting.
This singular award is for the top operation, amongst those across
Canada and the United States, which seeks out and introduces new products
and services to benefit our ecology. In addition, it recognizes public
work to educate consumers on correct cultural lawn care practices and
how to reduce the dependency on cosmetic pesticides, while still creating
thick, lush and healthy lawns.
The 15-year-old Victoria Nutri-Lawn has been cited for
its leadership role in unique alternate lawn care products such as;
Sea Kelp for turf drought and heat stress relief, Water Assist a
100% Natural surfactant for increasing water permeability and uptake
by plants, Water Saver a natural mineral for soil retention of valuable
moisture, Beneficial Nematodes for organic grub control, and weed
seed free Top-Dressing which adds microbial activity to the soil,
breaks down thatch and assists turf’s
nutrient up-take. All of these unique products, if used regularly for
lawn care, will significantly help to create a healthy lawn that works
in harmony with nature, thus benefiting our ecology.
When the president of Nutri-Lawn
Inc. was asked about how it came to be that Victoria’s Nutri-Lawn
would receive the “Ecology
Award” he said “With all of the new organic and natural
products and services researched and tested they were an obvious
candidate for this prestigious award. It’s franchisees like this
that make this a rewarding lawn care franchise system, and it’s
why we have been so successful.” The franchisee's response to the
award was simply put. “I am just doing the job my clients want
by providing results with the latest and greatest products available.
It’s much easier to work with nature than against it.”
Congratulations Nutri-Lawn Victoria for a job well done and for the respect you
show our environment and your efforts for being ecology friendly.
